Hi Johnathan, a question, have you used Bowen to successfully treat Bell’s palsy and if so how successful was it and which method did you use.
This potential client has been told by he medical consultant that she will not have return of power to her facial muscles and that as he is simply one of the unfortunate few that get no or very limited return. It is a bout 6mths in duration.

Hi Nuala, thank you for the question. In the situation of your client there may have been too long a timespan. Also, it’s hard to ascribe a treatment without knowing mor but procedures that are indicated include the Upper Respiratory, TMJ and TMJ advanced (in manuals 5-6). One thing that is positive about Bowen Therapy is that trying the treatmnt will usually tell if it is a useful too for a problem, it’s efinitly worth the effort to try one or two times.

Hi Johnathan, I have recently registered with you and am enjoying your videos, however I am finding that the sound quality is very poor on some of these especially the newest training.
Also can I just download the manuals 1-4 automatically from your shop as part of my monthly subscription.

You do have access to download the manuals 1-4 as a subscriber. This is the link to them: “Downloads“. Yes, some audio is lacking but hopefully you are able to adjust the volume up where needed. The majority of the videos though do have audio that is clear and legible. Perhaps you can let me know the specific lessons and I can see if there is a fix.

Jonathan:
I would like to confirm/clarify that when signing up with the $25/monthly subscription plan:
(A) Manuals 1-4 and the entire 31 lessons become available to the student, for as long as the subscription is maintained
(B) the student is not limited on how many lessons s/he may view within a month’s time
(C) the order of lessons is not rigid (though I recognize the deliberate and logical order designed into the program curriculum), i.e., if there were a need/desire to learn procedures particular to, let’s say, feet/ankles or carpal tunnel, the student could access those at the beginning or midway through the list versus in its given order.
Thank you for your effort to make Bowen truly available to ANY person who has interest in developing the skills and helping others in this way!

Dear Stephanie, thank you for your thoughtful questions. I realize I should make this information clearer overall. The quick answer is yes to all your questions.
The Manuals are downloadable and viewable immediately after subscribing for the Bowen Monthly or Annual levels.
You can watch at your leisure any and all of the lessons.
Thank you so much for writing. Happy New Year

Does Bowen monthly subscription cover all the 31 procedures mentioned during the first month that includes video lessons? Will I still be able to watch those video lessons from the subscribed month in the future (is it downloadable)?

Hi Jonathan
I am a massage therapist based in regional ( in the outback) in Western Australia. I attended a Bowen Module 1 class with Bowtech ( which is the most recognised training organisation for Bowen in Australia) – I’m finding it time and money consuming to fly to the nearest city for the set complete of modules so doing your online training would be ideal. My question is – will you allow my Module 1 that was class attended be recognised by you so that I can continue the remaining online classes to be certified, am I making sense ,haha hope so.

Hi Patricia, I would suggest you contact either bewitch at http://www.bowentraining.co.uk/index.html or the European College of Bowen Studies at https://thebowentechnique.com/. The Bowen Online video classes are an excellent complement to these schools training as they only offer weekend classes and the video lessons really help students revise and refine their learning at home.

It is not possible to be certified without attending a live class. There are 4 modules online where you can study and achieve a high level of competency.

Hi Johnathan,
Can you give me more detail regarding Mod 7-8 Advanced Techniques? Is there video for this? Also to mail manual to NJ USA was $26. Is this correct?
Thank You

February 20, 2015 at 4:16 am (UTC -7) Link to this comment
Hi, the Mods 7-8 are unique protocols for treating specific conditions, muscles and nerves. We usually apply these if the previously applied procedures have failed to work full. There are some essential procedures to clinical use such as, Colon, Ileo Cecal, Biceps, and many more but overall in my practice the majority of procedures used are from the modules 1-4 and the lesser used are applied much less frequently than these. I won’t likely create videos online it might give the wrong emphasis on how to use them. The post is quoted in Canadian dollars so seems a lot. To save costs you can buy the manuals as a download and take the file to have them professionally printed. Hope that helps

Hello Jonathan,
It’s me again!! I will register for the 8 modules that you will teach over a course of two weeks at CCNM this spring. My goal is to be a CERTIFIED BOWEN THERAPIEST. REGARDING THE ANATOMY,PHYSIOLOGY AND CLINICAL HOURS, as I referred in my previous conversation I am a 4th year student at CCNM,
DOES THIS EXEMPT ME from this requirement as I completed equivalent courses in the college
Also, as I a Clinic Intern at the college clinic, where I already completed 500 Clinic hours and 200 patient contact using naturopathic modalities. Moreover, I am an International medical graduate ( Anesthesiologist from Egypt) I had 9 years of experience as a registrar of anesthesia and completed residency of Anesthesia in a University hospital in Egypt. Does that all count towards the clinic hours and my bachelor of medicine and surgery transcript from there count towards the anatomy and physiology requirements ? I also have post graduate studies in Anatomy and physiology as part of my Master Degree of Anesthesia!
Also, Regarding the on line exams do I have to sit both exams ( the practioner and the therapiest or only the therapist one) how much does it cost for the exams and for the whole process of certification.
To be honest, THE DRIVING FORCE behind registering for those 8 in class modules is to be a certified Therapist as this certification will help me when I go back to my home country where I practice pain management. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES TO BE CERTIFIED ONCE I FINISHED THE 8 IN CLASS MODULE GIVEN MY EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND.
Thank you very much and see you Feb 17 at CCNM
Kindest Regards,
Abdullah

When I click on the “free videos” link I get to taken to a page with what looks like links to videos, but are really links to a registration page. I don’t think its wrong to have people pay for content, but it isn’t very good marketing to claim something is free and not have it be so.
