Lynell is the founder and owner of Lynell & Company, LLC and author. Since becoming a Professional Bowen Practitioner, associate instructor, member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals) and the American Bowen Academy, she has worked on over 15,000 bodies. From the start of her private practice in her basement in 2003, Lynell grew her Body and Nerve Restoration Center into what it is today: seven session rooms, four additional Bowen practitioners and an administrator. Along the way, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in holistic nutrition. Her experience and compassion have led her to develop effective, custom protocols that enhance the body’s healing abilities keeping the purity of Bowen intact. Lynell credits her late father for passing on a special gift to her. She says, “He could determine what was wrong in a body by placing his hand on the back of one’s neck.” Originally, she pursued a corporate career in human resources. However, her mother encouraged her to use her inherited, sensing ability. Lynell says, “So, with the loving support of my husband and daughter, eventually I did.” Lynell loves being able to impart her 20+ years of experience to others. She has been inspired to formulate an innovative curriculum for practitioner training that closely reflects the methods of Tom Bowen. Lynell authored her first book, Her Father’s Hands, to recount her journey and joyous love for life. It is dedicated to her father and is available on Amazon. Coming under the umbrella of The School of Bowen alongside Jonathan Damonte, she hopes to keep the work of Tom Bowen alive and well.
